Our fascination with TPU, a thermoplastic elastomer, began over seven years ago. We were convinced right from the start that TPU would replace the tried and tested butyl rubber as the base material for inner tubes thanks to its far superior material properties. Our AERON/TPU bicycle tubes are not only 100% recyclable, but they are also lighter, more puncture-resistant, faster and smaller to pack than comparable butyl inner tubes.
