Busch + Müller

On 1 September 1925, Willy Müller and August Busch founded OHG Busch + Müller in Meinerzhagen. The production programme at that time already consisted of cat's eyes (reflectors) for bicycles. Today, the family company's product range mainly includes bicycle headlights and rear lights, but also bicycle accessories such as reflectors, rear-view mirrors and much more. A second mainstay is the production of rear-view mirrors and lighting for motorised two-wheelers. In this area, KTM and BMW have been customers of Busch + Müller for many years. Probably the most significant development from Busch + Müller in recent years are the headlights with IQ technology, which at the time quadrupled the brightness of the headlights.Today, this technology is used by almost all lighting manufacturers and generates unprecedented brightness levels of up to 100 lux in dynamo mode and 300 lux in e-bike mode. By comparison, in the early 2000s, 10 lux was still the standard for halogen headlights at the time. The latest developments are the BREX brake light and emergency brake light function and brand new: the TURNTEC indicator and the world first Briq-XL, the first headlight with digital curve light for e-bikes. In short: Busch + Müller thrives on innovation and produces originals as a role model for many market competitors. The company is now in second and third generation family hands with Dr Rainer Müller and his son Guido. The company has always remained true to its Meinerzhagen location. Busch + Müller's ideas, technology, design, toolmaking, plastic and metal processing and electroplating products are all ‘Made in Germany’.
