BRANDS 2025 / 2026 - CYCLINGWORLD EUROPE

meipel

Behind ´meipel lies over 90 years of family history in the bicycle industry. Since 1934, the Bachtenkirch family has been all about bicycles – now in its fourth generation. In 2023, ´meipel was founded by product designer Bonnie Bachtenkirch to apply this accumulated expertise to modern, sporty junior bikes. She is supported in this effort by her father Ralf Bachtenkirch, managing director and long-time industry expert.´meipel is aimed at children and young people aged 7 to 13 who want more than a classic children´s bike. The focus is on getting started in sporty cycling – with gravel bikes, mountain bikes, and road bikes that are based on real adult bikes but are consistently adapted to young riders. Low frame heights, child-friendly geometries, and well-thought-out details ensure control, safety, and riding enjoyment.Inspired by the openness and freedom of Canada, ´meipel stands for a spirit of adventure, outdoor activity, and high-quality products. The name is derived from the English word “maple” – a symbol of origin, durability, and lightness. The AERO, THRILL, and PACE models combine sporty performance with fair pricing and offer young riders authentic access to the world of gravel, road, and mountain biking.´meipel sees itself as a brand for the next step: moving away from toys and towards sporty bikes – with inspiring quality and prices that make it easy to get started.

We will publish the exact stand location here shortly before the show.
